PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY AUSTRALIA - A guide to language about disability People with Disability Australia (PWDA) is a national disability rights and advocacy organisation made up of and led by people with disability. This guide has been written by people with disability to assist the general public and media outlets in talking about and reporting on disability. The language (words and phrases) that people use about people with disability has an impact on the social narrative about people with disability, how we are perceived and treated by the general public, which affects the systemic structures in society.
