Phoebe's story

I believe all individuals deserve to be treated equally and have access to experience, fun, work, friends, goals, creativity, academics and deserve to be listened to and be treated with respect. I endeavor to enrich and help improve Adults and Children's wellbeing, creativity, help achieve their goals through, encouragement, compassion, patience, and interactive engagement. I have been working with adults in the disability sector for the past 3 years. I have supported the participants individually from home and supported groups in Unison's community access program. I have enjoyed connecting with the clients and finding their interests and passions over these years by supporting individual interests such as math solving, puzzles, drawing, board games, swimming at the local pools, coffee shops, bowling, Easter Shows, Cricket tours, movies, cooking, music days, art classes and have loved seeing the clients’ shine and achieve goals at their own pace. Along with this I have also assisted clients in emotional support through doctors, dentist, pathology appointments, cancer treatments and behaviour assessments. It has been hard work at times but also a pleasure supporting the people I have been able to support through harder times as well as great moments.
